December is a time for reflection for many people and I am not an exception. Recently I’ve been thinking about the (almost) past year in terms of my art practice and the goals I set for myself at the beginning of January. I like setting goals, because they give me some structure and also help to see progress and celebrate the little and big wins. Goal setting helps me to have more clarity in my practice and prioritise creativity in my life.
I am happy that I managed to push my practice in many directions this year and next year will be probably about finding a balance between exploration and focus.
Some of the highlights of 2024
My practice became more regular, independent and intentional.
A lot of exploration, play and experimentation, which helped me to relax about the outcomes.
I tried working on location! Still a way to go, but I am happy that I made the first steps.
Sharing more on this platform (45 posts this year!) & hosting a free Christmas event with my friend
.Finding a lovely creative community both online and offline.
Diving deeper into the topic of the creative process.
I completed my first 100 day project.
Managed to finish (or almost finish) 5+ sketchbooks.
As a recap of the year I also decided to put all the monthly inspiration posts into this one, so that you (and me) can casually browse through them during the holidays!
There is so much inspiration and creative goodness in these posts, I recommend going through them sitting in a cozy corner and with a hot beverage in your hand.
