It’s a bit of a busy season right now, so I don’t have that much time for art making. I mainly try to keep up with my practice through the 100 days project making quick portraits using a blind continuous line, which I am thoroughly enjoying. I am not exactly keeping up with the schedule, but that’s fine.

The decision to make it as simple and doable as possible was really the right one. What I find fascinating is that even with the limited process and supplies I decided on, I still learn something from every piece and from every material I use. I share the portraits mainly on Notes and as usual plan to make a short video with all the pieces after the project ends.
I am taking a drawing course right now, so I am not that focused on finished work and mostly create studies and work in sketchbooks. Nevertheless I am working towards a couple of things, including a small collection of collaged anatomical hearts.
The idea came to me completely randomly when we were making art together with Citla Flores and a shape on a collage paper reminded me of the anatomical form of the heart. I made a couple of smaller pieces and now making compositions on A3 paper.
I hope to have more time for art making in May and then in summer, but I also try to embrace this quieter period and use it for smaller projects, learning and exploration.
